Presentation of the Degree Course
On Wednesday 30 August, Professor Lorenzo De Sio, the Degree Director, will deliver a presentation session of the Degree Course. During the session, a Luiss graduate will share their university and professional experience while highlighting the characteristics and career opportunities associated with the Degree Course. At the end of this session, the Program Manager will present the two-week activity program and address any related organizational aspects with the students.
Meet the Faculty
Students will have the opportunity to meet with members of the Luiss Faculty in a dedicated room. During these sessions, students can interview Faculty members to learn about their professional backgrounds, academic pursuits, and personal interests. Each meeting will adopt an interdisciplinary approach, as it will feature Luiss Faculty members from different Degree Courses. Students from different Degree Courses will participate in the same event, allowing them to meet and deepen their knowledge of professors, researchers, and experts across different fields.
Career Guidance Seminars
Students will have the opportunity to participate in in-depth events related to different career paths relevant to their degree course, helping them orient themselves.
These events will be led by experts and professionals in the various fields, including Business, International Organizations, and Banking. Specifically:
- Wednesday 30 August (4.00PM – 5.00PM): Get ready for International Organizations and Public Affairs;
- Thursday 31 August (4.00PM – 5.00PM): Get ready for Corporate Companies
- Friday 1 September (4.00PM – 5.00PM): Get ready for Banking & Finance.
Q&A Rooms
Throughout the the three-day reception, several rooms will be available where students can obtain information and clarification about some of the University’s services:
- Educational Model: Learn about and explore contents, methods, and activities of the Enquiry-based educational model.
- Services: Learn about and explore services and activities organized by the University.
- Tutors: Learn about the tutoring service.
Second Week of Activities – Mandatory Online Sessions
Freshers’ Week Program Presentation
On Monday 4 September, we will conduct an online asynchronous presentation session of the Freshers’ Week program. In the designated virtual space, each student will have the opportunity to connect remotely. Through a system of thematic breakout rooms, you will receive information about the program of activities, information about the Project Work (including progress, uploading and acquisition of CFU), your assigned group and the group leader. You can seek support about the digital teaching tools.
Smart Talks on the Topic: “Creating a Unified Foundation for the Sustainable Development: Research, Practice, and Education on Environmental, Economic and Socio-Cultural Sustainability”
On the first day of activities (Monday 4 September), students will participate online in an event featuring a series of Smart Talks. These talks will be moderated and explored by a Faculty Delegate. Each session will center around Sustainability issues and will include guest speakers from the University’s partner companies. They will share insights and content to help students structure their research-based group assignment. Each meeting will commence with a Keynote by a guest speaker, followed by a discussion moderated by a reference lecturer within the scientific area. Additionally, attendees will gain insights from the presentation of case studies and examples of research and innovation projects led by high-profile experts in their respective research groups. Each of the two identified reference themes will correspond to a challenge presented to the reference student cluster.
Career Activities – Career GO
The Career Go training activities are designed to emphasize the importance of self-awareness in shaping a student’s future career path. Increasing self-awareness, focusing on specific skills, working on Personal Branding, and refining the CV will serve as the foundational elements for the theoretical and practical activities conducted over the course of two days.

Live CV Clinic
This initiative, scheduled for Thursday 7 September, will feature a presentation by experts who will guide students in learning how to craft a CV that stands up to the HR scrutiny in the job market. During the session, participants will be encouraged to reflect on their skills and professional objectives by responding to thought-provoking questions. In the context of this activity, students will be expected to independently create their CV and upload it to the Career Center platform.
CV Clinic Helpdesk
On Friday 8 September, we have set up a support system for Career Go participants. On this occasion, students will have access to several virtual classrooms where members of the Career Service Team will be available to provide assistance and clarification on how to prepare and upload CVs to the Career Center. The objective of this activity is to support students in completing their curriculum writing tasks by offering tips and general guidance.
Welcome Ceremony
On Monday 11 September, the traditional Welcome Ceremony for Freshers will be held with the institutional greeting from Luiss Top Management. There will be two panels, both conducted in English, held in the evening hours (12 September and 14 September from 6.00-7.00PM).
